The Ethnic Relations NGO
Organization
The Ethnic Relations Ngo is a non-profit organization established in Tramonti Costiera Amalfitana, Italy, in 1988. It is a voluntary citizen's group which is organized on international level, task-oriented and driven by people with the common concern in increasing the effectiveness and interest of itsown model of development for the 21st century. It have grown up confirming year after year its model of development, year after year with its proven activity of information to the public.

Purposes (Scopi / Mission)
The purposes of the Ethnic Relations NGO, as set forth in the Charter, are to develop friendly relations among nations, by giving cultural contributions organized around specific issues, coordinated with the results of its operative sectors, based on preserving the community identity and heritage of the diverse
groups, supporting the cultural awareness of the ideal expansion of the state through itsown nation, fostering the interest in the history of emigration of all nations for the common cultural basis; and to be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations in attaining these ends.
Structure
The six principal sectors of the Ethnic Relations NGO, are the:
- The Annual Convention on Human Migrations
Since 1988 the commitment of the sectors of the Ethnic Relations NGO altogether accomplish the institutional purposes by organizing the Annual Tramonti Convention on Human Migrations, where a cultural opportunity is created for attendees by meeting other institutions of Emigration of other countries giving lectures or presentations on theirown institutions.
Being the World Forum for Historical Emigration, the Annual Tramonti Convention held the presentation of the most important institutions of this planet, such as the “Presentation on Ellis Island” in 1998 and the “Presentation on Gross Ile” in 2001, which is the “Canadian Ellis Island”. Since 1988 hosted long standing institutions who gave presentations on theirown organization such as, among the others:
- The Ulster-American Folk Park, Omagh, Northern Ireland, UK
- The Scottish Emigration Centre, Glasgow, Scotland, UK
- The State Department of the Italians Abroad, Rome, Italy
Time honoured institutions took part to the annual convention by sending
displays of theirown emigration history, heritage and documentation to be exhibited during the convention such as, among the others:
- The Merseyside Maritime Museum of Liverpool, England, UK
- Old Sturbridge Village, Sturbridge, Massachusetts, USA
- The San Marino Emigrant Museum and Permanent Study Center, San Marino Republic
- The Bureau of the 2005 World Exposition Japan, Seto, Japan (1998).
Year after year the Convention issues the Annual Resolution, approved by the assembly, contributing to the definition and fostering the perspectives of “New Models of Development for the 21st Century” based on preserving the community identity and heritage of the diverse groups.

- The International Heritage Lounge (the Ethnic Relations NGO Village)
Established in its present form in 1988 operating solely on a not-for-profit basis with its headquarter in Tramonti Costiera Amalfitana, Italy, the I.H. Lounge developed building on two main forming elements: the years its director Aurelio Giordano spent as consultant for the Extra European Arts Committee held biannual in Paris, France, and the years spent in the field of Import/Export with USA and Asia. The I.H. Lounge is also known as the Ethnic Relations NGO Village:
- An Invitation to the Future in collaboration with the Institute of Future of the University of Traditional Studies.
- The opportunity for growth and networking for all NGO citizens of the Village shared with thousands of NGO around the world.
- The meeting place for the world’s talents to improve and or create model community for the future and an effort to suggest new modalities in relationship.
- Person to person and people with society, diverse people grouping together under our large tree of the ethnic relations.
- The world’s different cultures simphony practicing the concept of “Learning for sustainability”, achieving sustainable society and what to do for a sustainable society, covering population issues, human rights and ethics, cultural diversity, and knowledge of the traditions, awareness.
